La Crosse Police Investigate a Shooting Incident on the Northside

On March 11, 2026, at approximately 4:12 PM, the La Crosse Police Department responded to a shooting incident in the 1000 block of Avon Street. Upon arrival, officers were able to make contact with an individual in the residence who was identified as, Mary A. McGuire (DOB: 6/10/1977). She safely exited the residence and was taken into custody at 4:34 PM. No one was injured, and this is an isolated incident. Ms. McGuire was charged with 1st Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety and Operate/Go Armed with a Firearm While Intoxicated. She is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
